These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PaintLasso — the website, web app, and tools at paintlasso.com (the "Service"), operated by PaintLasso ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
PaintLasso is a browser-based drawing, painting, and pixel-art studio. Core creative tools are free. Certain AI features ("AI Tools") consume credits and may require a paid subscription. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
You can use many features without an account. To sync your work or subscribe, you create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
You retain all ownership of the artwork and content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including storing it on your device, syncing it to your account if you enable that, and sending it to our AI processing providers when you run an AI tool. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for residual copies in routine backups or as required by law.
You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to it and that it does not infringe others' rights or violate these Terms.
You agree not to:
AI Tools generate results based on the inputs you provide. You are responsible for the inputs you submit and for how you use the outputs. You must hold the rights to any image you submit. AI outputs are provided "as is", may be inaccurate or unexpected, and are not guaranteed to be unique or fit for any purpose. We may apply usage limits and content safeguards.
Free accounts include a limited number of AI credits per period. Paid subscriptions provide additional credits and are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges. You can cancel any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments and used credits are non-refundable, and unused credits may expire at the end of each period. Prices may change with reasonable notice.
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content) — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
The Service relies on third parties including Cloudflare, fal.ai, Supabase, and Stripe. Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
The Pixel Studio's AI Sprites feature lets you connect your own PixelLab account using an API key you supply; those requests go directly from your browser to PixelLab and are billed to your PixelLab account. PaintLasso is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PixelLab, and "PixelLab" is a trademark of its respective owner. Your use of PixelLab is governed solely by PixelLab's own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that your work will not be lost. Keep your own backups of important work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where your local law provides otherwise.
